Plant Your CASA Pinwheel Today!
Since August 1, 1985, with first advocate assignment, CASA has been standing up and speaking out for abused and neglected children. Today, 35 years later, CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties’ mission remains unchanged. It is still our goal to empower abused and neglected children with a volunteer’s voice in court, so that they might have a chance to thrive in a safe and permanent home.
CASA reached a milestone in 2019 with 504 children and 291 families served. These are the highest totals ever recorded by the agency. However, our wait list currently stands at 158 children who right now need our advocacy services. The unique circumstances in which our community stands today will also bring additional cases into the light. CASA must be ready, and we need your support.
To help celebrate our 35th Anniversary, and to prepare for our future, we are today launching our 35-Year Giving Campaign, planting a Virtual Pinwheel Garden in recognition! We ask you to participate with donation of $35 or more to CASA. When you make this gift, your name will be listed under one of our Virtual Pinwheels on the CASA website.
We continue to dream big at CASA, to deliver powerful advocacy that changes a child’s future. We’ve done this together thousands of times in our 35-year history. Let’s together reach our fundraising goal so that we can help the children who need us now more than ever. There is no time like the present to show you care.
