CASA Executive Director, Amy Boydston,  Provides a COVID-19 Update.

Wednesday, May 6, 2020

As our metro area starts to open up under careful guidelines, I want to share with you CASA’s most recent updates regarding our response to working within the advice of health authorities.

Safety will remain our priority. Engrained in our mission and in everything we do, we will work first to provide for the safety of our child clients, their bio/foster families, our volunteers, and staff. We are actively working on protocols for allowing staff to return to the office in very small groups. We are also shaping how program services will adapt for the foreseeable future. While these changes present challenges, they also present opportunities – for innovation, for updating practices, policies, paperwork, for developing new resources to support our advocates in this important work.

Reminder: As a safety precaution, the CASA office remains closed to the public. CASA employees are working remotely and may be reached through their direct lines, or by calling 913-715-4040 (follow the prompts) and at their email address. Staff will contact volunteers with individual case needs and with updates on any court activity, as needed. Stay healthy.
