In the words of one CASA volunteer, “CASA serves the most vulnerable sector of our community, our children. Those who are often unseen or forgotten.” In these most difficult of times, CASA is keeping our commitment. Since the start of the pandemic, we have ensured continuity of care for our children and youth, keeping engagement and a watchful eye. We have reimagined our volunteer recruitment and pre-service training programs and developed strategies for meaningful virtual advocacy. Using technology in one-on-one visits and court hearings, CASA has been present for our children. It has been a challenging year, but also an opportunity to reshape our practices, our service model, and innovate our important work for children in need.
Right now, CASA volunteers are needed more than ever, as is your financial support. So today, give to CASA because every child deserves an advocate, especially during difficult times. Voice your support and give.
