Recognizing the issue of children lacking essential items for proper self-care throughout the year,

CASA launched its first Back-to-Basics Collection Drive in the summer of 2023. Every child

deserves access to the necessary products for self-care, and this drive was created to

address the shortage of essential resources for children in foster care. Following the success of last year’s drive, CASA has made this an annual fundraiser to benefit the children we serve. 

 

This summer, you can support CASA’s efforts to ensure every child we serve has the resources needed to thrive by donating specific essential items. We are collecting undergarments, hygiene products, and hair care supplies to distribute to CASA children across the community, helping them start the school year and beyond with confidence. Children in the foster care system often face challenges

that overshadow basic self-care and the ability to purchase necessary items.

Your support is invaluable in helping us collect these essentials.

To contribute, please visit our Amazon Registry or refer to the list below to find an array of

items needed. After selecting the items you can donate, you can drop them off at the CASA

office any day Monday through Friday until July 31st, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, where

a staff member will gladly assist you. Or you may purchase the items through our registry

and have them shipped directly to our office in Overland Park.
